If you have been waiting for the Tarte Friends and Family Sale, it has started this weekend. I actually typed in the code “FFAUG,” because they use the same code every year and the F&Fs are usually in August. Voila, to my amazement, it actually gave me 30% off and a free 24.7 Lip Sheers in Summer Fling - sheer peachy pink (this bonus is only if you spend $40 or more).
What will I be picking up? The Ring-it in cheek stain mini set from Holiday 2010, and the fiery and lust lip stain duo (matte crimson and natural red lip stain). All of this and the lip sheer costs me $44. Isn’t that a deal now? Offer expires on August 15th, 2011.
By the way, bad news ladies, NeutralEYES palette Volume II is still out of stock. The original NeutralEYES palette has too many similar colors from the Royal collection. Therefore, I was hoping Volume II would be back in stock soon, but no luck!
What do you think?
If you like carefully crafted jewelry made in the USA, you might find Gorjana to be an interesting brand. I own their stackable rings, and these are such dainty brilliant rings! I need more! The leather Graham bracelets and the hoop earrings are some of their signature jewelry.
Tres stackable Rings $65
Key & Fleur de lis Rings $45
For another 11 hours and 45 minutes, you can purchase a $80 gift certificate for $39 on Groupon. It will say it’s for Santa Barbara, but you don’t have to live there. The certificate will not expire until 2012!

This earring is breaking as I type, and my heart wants to display a frowny face to the world. The earring, which I have not even worn yet, is bending, and the little components are coming off. You’ll see what I’m talking about when you see the pictures.
The circular thing connected to the button-ey stud (which is holding the hanging part) is bent, and I can’t get it to be straight again. It’s such a disappointment.
This looks to be a fabulous product, and I love the design. The little pieces of wire binding the two circles are also opening up and becoming loose. Aside from the obvious quality issues, I find this earring super stylish.
For $29.99, I expect things to not break like this. I’ve purchased super glue and started to reinforce many of the loose points, but that won’t fix the bent component. I’m quite unhappy. Added to the broken Isis Earrings I received, I don’t know if I have enough confident in jewelmint to make a purchase again. I hear that for every four duds, you get about one great product. That’s awful from my perspective!!
I see that the Tarte 8th World Wonder collection is now back online at QVC.com. It is priced at $48.36 and comes in fair, light, medium or deep foundation colors. If you missed out originally, and want to try this out after reading reviews (such as this one from Beauty Broad Cast) this might be your chance!
Here’s a continuation of the series of the jewelmint jewelry review. If you don’t know what jewelmint is yet, it is a jewelry of the month club that introduces new collection of a little over ten jewelry on the first of every month.
Today, I’ll be reviewing the Dream Goddess set, which was introduced at the very end of July. It’s a set of the For Keeps bracelet and the Isis Earrings.
My product came broken. I heard from others that this happened to them too. The quality of the material was good, and I love the design, but what am I to do, when the loops are already broken, and the earrings can’t be repaired. I contacted the customer service, but they haven’t responded. Their CS is pretty unreliable from what I hear.
The pearl accent on the post also is charming. The second item is the For Keeps Bracelet.
I was definitely on the fence about the For Keeps Bracelet, because it reminded me of legos. It is relatively good quality from my first impression. I also think that I can wear this with lots of different combination - it could enhance colorful styles, or be a finicky accent to a more subdued style. Isis was somewhat of a dissappointment, but the bracelet was a surprised good product.
